Propshaft – T3 Syncro / Reconditioned

Reconditioned syncro propshaft.

We no longer supply this on a surcharge-exchange basis. We will only ship once we have recieved your old propshaft.
This is due to certain customers using us to supply a reconditioned proshaft, whilst holding onto their original.

Propshafts are supplied:

New Rubber coupling
Bronze bush replaced
Straightness checked and balanced

If showing “in stock” we have one on the shelf and we can ship straight away once we receive your old prop.

Please read the conditions of sale below. If these are not met we cannot supply you with a relacement propshaft.

No International Shipping.
This is a service within the UK only. We will not ship internationally.

We need your exchange Propshaft first.
Sale of this propshaft relies on us receiving your existing propshaft before we ship. To ensure stock, please order the reconditioned shaft first.
Ideally this should be ordered on its own, as if ordered with other items nothing will be shipped until we receive your exchange propshaft.
Please then quote your order number when sending your propshaft.

We can only take the prop with the rubber coupling in exchange.
There are 2 different types of prop fitted to Syncro models. The 2.1/1.6TD had a rubber coupling in the prop, the 1.9 Petrol did not.
We cannot accept a propsgaft without a rubber coupling in exchange for these shafts. Please dont send it.

No stakes, not blobs of weld. Yokes must be fitted circlips only, or please don’t send it.
It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that the propshaft they send is suitable for reconditioning.
It must be straight, not twisted or damaged and must not have been rebuilt with the yokes of the UJ “staked” in place. It must have the original circlips.

Once we receive your old shaft we will confirm that its suitable and ship your replacement shaft.
If for any reason the shaft isn’t suitable we will return your old shaft and refund the order after deducting the return shipping costs.

We don’t have hundreds of these shaftsm, and would like to try and keep one on the shelf so its available when required.
For this reason, we’d like your old prop back as quickly as possible, but certainly within 2 weeks. After this time we will refund the original order.

I’m afraid these conditions are necessary to retain a stock of shafts to supply relatively quickly when required.
We are trying to offer a service to keep vehicles on the road, and this has been taken advantage of in the past by some customer who are only interested in hoarding parts, and we have no interest in assisting with that.

So, in short.
Check your propshaft meets te criteria above.
Order the reconditioned propshaft.
Send your propshaft to us with your order number.
We ship the reconditioned propshaft.

Yes its a little tediousm, and its not how we want to do things.
Its the only way though, the alternative is we remove these from the shop and just sell the new HD propshafts.
