Details

This is a product aimed at those people who are removing a mechanical injection pump and replacing it with a electric fuel pump.

We won’t lie, it’s off another vehicle but it’s pretty handy to work with as it uses standard size spade terminals.

The relay has 5 connections and are marked inline with the usual DIN72552 standards.

1 – Tachometric signal, connects to the ignition coil “1” terminal (green wire)
15 – Ignition live (black wire)
30 – Battery live (red wire, fused of course!)
31 – Earth (brown wire)
87 – Relay output to pump.

The relay can be easily slotted into a standard relay socket (see related items) if the fitted metal bracket is removed.

Operation
When the ignition is turned on the relay will prime for 0.8 to 0.9 seconds then turn off until it sees a signal from the coil, once the engine is cranking at the coil is providing a spark then the relay will operate the injection pump and it will continue to do so until the engine is turned off or the coil stops producing a spark (during a stall for example).

Spec.

12V
Rated at 16A
