Replacement Hydraulic Cam Follower for 4 and some 5 cylinder Diesel engines.

AAZ, 1Z, AFN,1X,ABL, AXA

As far as 4 cylinder engines go, they changed in 1996. Randomly for an engine component, they change on a chassis number, which can make identifying which follower you need a little tricky, especially as engines get changed.

Our advice is to measure the valve stems… if they’re 7mm its these, if they’re 8mm its the alternatives (see related items).

There is also a very slight visual difference, shown in the product image.

Most 5 Cylinder engines use the alternative (Late) follower, with a few exceptions.

If in doubt please let us have the vehicle engine and chassis number and we should be able to confirm.
