Details
Sump gasket to suit most 4 cylinder in-line VW engines.
Listed as fitting the T4 4 cylinder petrol engines but also useful for use on a T3 Diesel as an upgrade, we find that the rubber gaskets are more suitable for use in the T3 as they are constantly submerged in oil, this greatly reduces the “sweating” of the fibre type gaskets and in most cases eliminates it completely.
When using on a T3 you must pay particular attention to fitting the M10 bolts through the bell housing into the sump as the gasket is slightly thicker and can cause alignment problems. It may be necessary to re-drill the holes in the bell housing slightly larger to alleviate any misalignment.
