Remember the nice, comprehensive (but a tad expensive) gear lever repair kit for the 14mm Gear Sticks?
Well, they’re now obsolete from VW. And nothing is available in the aftermarket.
Boo.
However, we have stock of Meyle aftermarket 12mm kits, and also the 14mm Hemispheres which can be fitted into the 12mm kits.
Its a bit of a faff, but its the only way around this for the time being.
The hemispheres push out (downwards). Theyre quite tight, but they do come out.
Throw the 12mm part away. Replace it with the 14mm part supplied. Push em back in.
The top hemisphere and the spring are reused.
